Eighth UAE AI Camp opens next week
Google, Microsoft and Intel join two-week hackathon and workshop programme
#UAE #education - The UAE Government’s Artificial Intelligence Office-led National Program for Artificial Intelligence has opened the eighth edition of the UAE AI Camp, running 17 to 29 August 2026 in Dubai. Organised with the National Program for Coders, the two-week camp offers workshops, hackathons and training sessions for students, employees and SME owners, with partners including Google, Microsoft, Intel and Accenture. The programme covers topics from fraud detection and digital well-being to generative and agentic AI.
SO WHAT? - The UAE AI Camp is a recurring pillar of the UAE’s push to build homegrown AI talent. The annual programme targets a wide range of professional and age groups, including school and university students, young people, employees, startups and SME owners. With over 34,000 participants across its previous seven editions, the AI Camp gives a sense of scale to the UAE’s ambition to grow its AI skills pipeline.

The camp targets a broad cross-section of participants, including school and university students, employees, SME owners and anyone interested in AI, programming or emerging technologies.
Global partners for this year’s edition include Google’s digital skills initiative Maharat Min Google, alongside Microsoft, Accenture, Intel, BytePlus, Brainy n Bright, Think Media Labs, Spectrum and Modesh World, plus the Ajman government’s transport regulator Transport Authority of the Government of Ajman.
Workshop topics include fraud detection, password protection, digital well-being, the Gemini Academy for students, AI-assisted project management, and AI’s role in legal operations and compliance.
A dedicated Future of Transport Hackathon runs alongside sessions on generative AI and hands-on workshops covering how AI models learn from data, images and information.
Participants can also join sessions on robotics and the distinction between generative AI and agentic AI, reflecting the shift toward AI systems that can act autonomously rather than simply respond to prompts.
The camp will also cover practical AI applications in business, marketing, video production, educational content and mobile app development across multiple sectors.
Since launching, the UAE AI Camp has drawn more than 34,000 participants across its first seven editions, according to organisers.
