The initiative, led by G42’s sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure company Core42 will build a state-of-the-art AI compute facility in Grenoble. Powered by AMD Instinct accelerator technology, the data centre will provide French enterprises, researchers, and innovators with cutting-edge AI capabilities. SO WHAT? – The Grenoble investment marks a significant milestone in G42’s global ambitions, being the group’s first data centre investment in Europe and also follows hot on the heels of a bilateral AI agreement between France and the UAE signed last week. The investment also supports France’s own AI goals, reinforcing its position as a leader in AI infrastructure within Europe.
