Meanwhile, Qatar reveals more technology innovations being employed for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, including autonomous retail stores, anti-drone systems and a CCTV network that will use facial recognition.
For those following the UAS sector, its also worth noting that UAVOS has now opened a subsidiary in the UAE. The UAV developer already has long-term partnerships in Saudi Arabia, including an ongoing R&D programme with King Abdulaziz City of Science and Technology (KACST) to develop the Saker family of medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) UAS.

#UAE #MBZUAI - Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) welcomed 127 new students for its fall 2022 semester, the result of some 3,600 applications for masters and doctoral degree programmes. As a result, the university’s student population now stands at 259. (Zawya)

#Saudi #GlobalAISummit - Saudi Arabia will host the second Global Artificial Intelligence Summit from Sept. 13 to 15 in Riyadh. This year's Summit will be held under the theme of “Artificial Intelligence for the Good of Humanity.” (Arab News)
