Global technology leaders out in force for the World Governments Summit
#UAE #government - Global technology leaders will be out in force next week for the 2025 edition of the World Governments Summit in Dubai. Overall, more than 6,000 government officials, thought leaders and global experts are expected to attend. Speakers from the technology sector will include David Baszucki, CEO Roblox; Larry Elison, Co-founder of Oracle; Christian Klein, CEO of SAP; Robin Li, Co-founder and CEO of Baidu; Enrique Lores, President and CEO of HP Inc.; Sundar Pichai, CEO Google; and Joseph C. Tsai, Chair, Alibaba Group. Google's CEO will have an onstage discussion about AI's future impact with H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications.
SO WHAT? - Organisers expect the 2025 World Governments Summit to achieve record international participation, with over 30 heads of state and government in attendence, delegations from 140 governments, and representatives from more than 80 international and regional organisations and global institutions. These are, of course, some of the world's biggest customers for information technology firms and so it's hardly a surprise that the event has attracted so many senior technology leaders.

The World Governments Summit will convene from 11-13 February under the theme of 'Shaping Future Governments' and will be attended by over 6,000 attendees.
The 2025 World Governments Summit expects to host over 30 heads of state and government, delegations from 140 governments, and representatives from more than 80 international and regional organizations and global institutions.

ZOOM OUT - Apart from becoming a must-attend for government leaders seeking to build stronger relations with the Arab world, the World Governments Summit is a now a key event for the technology industry and of particular focus for those positioning themselves in the AI space. At least year’s summit, His Excellency the AI minister interviewed both Jensen Huang, co-founder and CEO of NVIDIA, and Sam Altman, co-founder of OpenAI. Next week’s WGS has more tech CEOs in attendance than many of the world’s biggest tech events.
