Hashgraph signs blockchain ecosystem deal with Morocco
THA-ADD signing follows venture studio deals with Qatar and Saudi Arabia
#Morocco #startups - Swiss-based startup ecosystem The Hashgraph Association (THA) signed a partnership agreement with Morocco's Digital Development Agency (ADD) during GITEX Africa yesterday. The two organisations will work together to foster growth of blockchain technology in Morocco, to include train governmental entities and public sector employees on distributed ledger technologies, expert advice, investment and mentoring to the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
SO WHAT? - The ADD deal is the third venture ecosystem deal made with an Arab government by The Hashgraph Association this year. In January, THA signed a partnership with the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA) to launch a DeepTech Venture Studio in Riyadh, worth $250 million over the next five years, focusing on artificial intelligence and Web3. Then earlier this month, the association signed a partnership with the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) to launch a Digital Assets Venture Studio, supporting local and global companies in the development of regulatory-compliant decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions and digital assets built on the Hedera Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) network.
