HUMAIN, DataVolt to create multi-gigawatt data centre pipeline
Partnership targets global AI workload attraction to Kingdom
#SaudiArabia #datacenters – Public Investment Fund-owned artificial intelligence company HUMAIN and Riyadh-headquartered data centre operator DataVolt have announced a strategic partnership to develop a multi-gigawatt data centre pipeline designed to power demanding AI workloads. The collaboration brings together full-stack artificial intelligence solutions provider HUMAIN with global infrastructure developer DataVolt to deliver high-performance, sustainable and scalable data centres aimed at positioning Saudi Arabia as a hub for intelligent computing.
SO WHAT? – The partnership combines HUMAIN’s growing AI ecosystem leadership with DataVolt’s expertise in designing and operating infrastructure that integrates advanced energy and cooling innovations. HUMAIN has announced a series of partnerships with global AI infrastructure players during the course of this year and aims to be one of the world’s leading providers of AI infrastructure. The DataVolt partnership could prove to be another key pillar of the national AI company’s infrastructure strategy.
Here are some key points about the partnership announcement:
Saudi Arabia’s national AI company HUMAIN and Saudi and UAE-based centre operator DataVolt have announced plans to develop a multi-gigawatt data centre pipeline designed to power demanding AI workloads. The partnership aims to develop large-scale data centres across Saudi Arabia to serve hyperscalers, enterprises and government institutions.
DataVolt brings expertise in designing, constructing and operating complex infrastructure that integrates advanced energy solutions and cooling innovations, whilst HUMAIN contributes its leadership in advancing Saudi Arabia’s AI ecosystem and attracting global compute leaders.
The collaboration focuses on delivering high-performance, sustainable and scalable data centres with cost-efficiency as a core design principle, aiming to reduce the overall cost of compute for AI operations.
HUMAIN operates across four core areas: next-generation data centres, hyper-performance infrastructure and cloud platforms, advanced AI models including Arabic large language models, and AI solutions that combine sector insight with execution capabilities.
DataVolt is headquartered in Saudi Arabia with offices in the USA, Uzbekistan, India and the UAE, and maintains global expansion ambitions spanning the Middle East, Africa, Asia and North America.
The partnership aims to accelerate the global transition toward cleaner, smarter and more sustainable digital infrastructure by delivering infrastructure solutions at scale with shared values and complementary strengths.
HUMAIN’s end-to-end model serves both public and private sector organisations, with a mission to drive intellectual property leadership and talent development whilst strengthening capabilities through human-AI synergies across industries.
ZOOM OUT – DataVolt announced a strategic partnership with California-based IT solutions provider Supermicro during US President Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia in May to build hyperscale AI campuses, with an estimated minimum market value of $20 billion. The collaboration will deliver Supermicro’s ultra-dense GPU platforms, storage and rack systems for DataVolt’s planned gigawatt-class renewable AI campuses, featuring direct liquid cooling technology that reduces power costs up to 40 per cent and lowers total cost of ownership by up to 20 per cent. The partnerships with both HUMAIN and Supermicro support DataVolt’s strategy of securing major technology partnerships to develop large-scale AI infrastructure.
