#UAE #LLMs - Inception, part of Abu Dhabi-based artificial intelligence powerhouse G42, has released a new version of its Jais Chat mobile app with a choice of three AI models, integrating the Jais 70B, Jais 30B, and a new K2-Diamond-Chat model, together with advanced audio services. Arabic-speaking users can now choose from three powerful AI models on mobile and tablet devices, bringing an array of AI features to everyday interactions, with advanced capabilities for math, coding, and speech-to-text functionalities. The announcement of the new Jais Chat app follows hot on the heels of last month’s open-source release of a family of 20 Arabic-centric Jais large language models (LLMs).
SO WHAT? - While most Arabic-centric large language model developers are building their first or second models, G42's Inception has set out to create the most comprehensive and useful family of LLMs. The multi-modal approach adopted for new Jais Chat mobile app puts it in a class of its own, enabling new levels of performance across multiple user categories. In addition, by virtue of the wide range of Jais models now available, encouraging wide usage, Inception stands to gain the more insights from users, developers and researchers than other model builders, enabling further advancements in the future.

G42’s applied research arm Inception has announced a new Jais Chat mobile app with a choice of three AI models: JAIS 30B for fast response times, JAIS 70B for precise outputs, and a newly introduced K2-Diamond-Chat version for advanced mathematical and coding tasks.
The K2-Diamond-Chat model was developed in partnership with Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI). The 65 billion parameter model sets a new standard for mathematics and coding, adding new capabilities for symbolic reasoning, including algebraic simplification and differentiation.
The new, improved Jais Chat app a major step in advancing AI applications in the Arabic language, particularly in complex domains such as business, mathematics, and coding.
Meanwhile, the new Jais Chat update also features Inception’s latest audio models, offering automatic speech-to-text and text-to-speech transcription of Arabic language content (in various dialects), providing natural sounding speech.
Inception aims to make the Jais 70B model, trained on the world’s largest Arabic dataset, accessible to all through free mobile and web platforms.
The app is available for iOS, Android, and on the website, ensuring widespread access to generative AI technologies.
