#UAE #HPC - Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is building a new supercomputer for MBZUAI (Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence), the second high performance computing deal announced by the company in the region during the past few weeks. (Linkedin)
#UAE #datatransformation - Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA) and the Department of Government Support announced the launch of the Abu Dhabi Data Program at GITEX GLOBAL, in a key step towards data-driven digital government in Abu Dhabi, which will ultimately empower government leaders to take better, data-driven decisions. #UAE #robotaxis - The second phase of Abu Dhabi's driverless public transport services trial has been announced by the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), taking place on Yas Island and Saadiyat Island, beginning this November. #UAE #R&D - Intel Corporation is to open an AI software research and development (R&D) centre in Dubai Internet City. The first of its kind in the GCC, the centre will help to advance the capabilities of Intel’s leading AI software solutions. Intel opened its first office in Dubai nearly 30 years ago. #UAE #robots - Ameca the world's most advanced human shaped #robot, has joined Dubai's Museum of the Future. Built by a UK based Engineered Arts Ltd, the new robot will interact with visitors to the museum's Tomorrow Today exhibition in Arabic and English. (The National)
#MENA #crypto - The MENA region is the world's fastest-growing cryptocurrency market, according to Chainalysis Inc. Individual investors in the Middle East and North Africa received $566 billion in cryptocurrencies from July 2021 to June 2022, according to a new report. (The National)
