Good morning!
Here’s your weekly roundup of Middle East AI News!
It's another short one, due to work pressures, but I have some big Abu Dhabi news stories to share nevertheless!
Geospatial intelligence company Bayanat's is to IPO on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange this month;
another new R&D centre is being established in the UAE capital;
Abu Dhabi's long awaited drone delivery trial may be about to start; and
the UAE reportedly invests in Israeli anti-drone systems.
ADIA's new R&D centre really is big news. The Technology Innovation Institute (TII), set up by the government in 2020, now employs 500 people. So, the new 'ADIA Lab' could well add hundreds more people to the capital's R&D talent pool.
When you add together the resources of academic research facilities, specialised R&D labs owned by various organisations together with TII and ADIA Lab, it's shaping up to become quite a significant ecosystem. And I'm sure that there is more to come!
Have a great day!
