NVIDIA certifies Khazna's Blackwell-ready infrastructure
Khazna to build data centres in France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Türkiye & Kenya
#UAE #datacentres - G42 Group’s data centre builder-operator Khazna Data Centers has secured NVIDIA certification for its next-generation facilities designed to support the AI chip maker’s Blackwell architecture. Khazna is currently developing AI compute clusters of up to 250 Megawatts (MW) capacity, with plans to build out multiple Gigawatts of new AI clusters across the Middle East, Africa and Europe. The news follows the US-UAE AI Acceleration Partnership announced during US President Trump’s visit to the UAE in May, and plans to build a 5GW AI campus in Abu Dhabi.
SO WHAT? - With in principle agreements between the UAE and USA allowing the import of 500,000 advanced AI chips per annum, Khazna Data Centers stands to get access to NVIDIA’s powerful Blackwell GPU architecture. Meanwhile, with agreements in place for large-scale UAE-led data centre projects in Africa, Asia and Europe, Khazna’s project pipeline could turn the company into one of the biggest data centre builders in the world. So the NVIDIA certification is a small, but crucial step.
Here are some key facts about the Khazna announcement:
NVIDIA has certified the data cetnre designs of G42 Group’s data centre builder-operator for full compatibility with its Blackwell AI compute architecture, ensuring optimal performance for next-generation AI workloads and reducing deployment risks for enterprise clients.
Khazna is currently building individual AI clusters of up t0 250MW capacity, with data halls designed for up to 50MW each, representing some of the largest AI-focused infrastructure developments globally.
The is expanding across France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Türkiye and Kenya, following UAE bilateral agreements and deals with G42 Group, establishing a transcontinental AI infrastructure network spanning three continents.
The certification will support rapid deployment of AI infrastructure with minimal certification processes, accelerating time-to-market for regional AI initiatives and international technology partnerships.
Khazna's expansion aligns with regional and global AI strategies, as the UAE becomes a key partner in building, financing and operating AI data centre infrastructure in an increasing number of countries.
ZOOM OUT - The development comes amid unprecedented UAE-US technology cooperation following the comprehensive AI Acceleration Partnership framework announced in May 2025. President Trump's bilateral agreement with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan established a 5GW AI campus in Abu Dhabi, featuring 500,000 advanced NVIDIA AI chips annually and representing the largest AI deployment outside the United States. This strategic partnership positions the UAE to serve nearly half the world's population within a 3,200km radius whilst implementing stringent US security standards for advanced AI technologies.
