Facility to focus on AI and digital governance solutions
#Kazakhstan #R&D - ADX-listed big data and AI company Presight (ADX:PRESIGHT) has announced the establishment of its first regional research and development laboratory in Central Asia, located in Astana, Kazakhstan. The announcement was made by Presight Chief Growth Officer Magzhan Kenesbai during the official visit of Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to the International Artificial Intelligence Centre Alem.ai at Astana Hub. The facility will focus on developing and localising advanced solutions in AI, data analytics and digital governance, supporting national objectives for technological sovereignty and innovation-led growth. Presight is currently implementing a large-scale Astana Smart City project with the Akimat of Astana whilst developing Kazakhstan’s first Command Centre for Government Analytics and Decision-Making.
SO WHAT? - Presight opened its first Central Asia regional office in Astana, earlier thisyear, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion. The new R&D centre at Astana Hub reflects both the company’s deepening commitment to Kazakhstan and the success of its partnership with the Kazakh government. In doing so, Presight is helping to address the country’s sovereign AI needs, in contrast to many global AI companies that simply sell-in AI products developed elsewhere. The new AI R&D centre will help ensure that Presight’s solutions align with local requirements, regulatory frameworks or linguistic needs.
