This week the UAE Cabinet approved a digital training platform that will allow the government to train up to 65,000 workers in the future of business, government and emerging technologies. The UAE government already has programs in place that train leadership in AI and also school and college students. This new program, called 'Jahiz', addresses the gap.
Other noteworthy stories include the publication of a draft space law in Saudi Arabia, Israeli venture capital firm OurCrowd's announcement of Abu Dhabi plans, and AI group G42's new deals in Indonesia.

#Iran #Oman #UAS - An oil tanker was hit by a drone with an explosive payload off the coast of Oman on Tuesday,. The ship sustained minor damage to the hull with no injuries or spillage of the gas oil cargo. The drone is thought to be Iranian. (Reuters)
#Algeria #Iran #UAS - A top Iranian official said his country has received drone orders from 22 countries including Algeria, confirming earlier reports that Algeria and the Polisario were seeking Iranian drones. (North Africa Post)
#Israel #roboticweapons - Israel has installed robotic weapons that can fire tear gas, stun grenades and sponge-tipped bullets at Palestinian protesters in two spots on the West Bank. The weapons, perched over a crowded Palestinian refugee camp and in a West Bank city, use AI to track targets. (Arab News)
