Prof. Merouane Debbah, Professor at Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi and founding director of the 6G Center. Prior to joining Khalifa University this year, Dr. Debbah was Chief Researcher at the Technology Innovation Institute's AI Cross-Center Unit and of the AI and Digital Science Research Center. His recent work led to the development of NOOR (on its release in 2022, the largest Arabic LLM) and Falcon (on its release, the top ranked open source large language model) released in 2023.
