The round was led by Saudi Aramco’s venture capital fund Wa’ed Ventures and Dar Ventures, with participation from Plug & Play Ventures, OQAL, Taz Investment, and angel investors. The funding will support product development, team growth, and expansion within the Kingdom and into global markets.

The government has place a high priority on high-impact technologies that align with Vision 2030, prompting massive investment in digital transformation. However, venture capital funding targeting AI startups has only recently begun to accelerate. Targeting the inefficiencies of one of Saudi Arabia’s biggest sectors, TruBuild’s combination of AI and deep construction expertise seems to have hit a sweet spot with investors.

Founded in 2023, TruBuild is led by CEO Bisrat Degefa (former global director at Atkins and Gleeds) and CTO Dr. Sari Sabban, a seasoned AI researcher.
The company blends British engineering expertise with Saudi-led AI development to support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 infrastructure goals.
TruBuild previously received early-stage backing from global startup accelerator Antler MENAP during its Riyadh 2023 cohort.
