New Abu Dhabi initiative targets executive AI education
#UAE #AILeadership – Abu Dhabi School of Management and UAE-based AI and robotics firm Polynome Group have launched the AI Academy, a new initiative aimed at training senior executives, government leaders, and specialists in AI strategy and deployment. Announced at the Machines Can See summit during Dubai AI Week, the Academy will offer multilingual, short-format courses and a flagship Chief AI Officer Programme to build regional capacity in ethical and practical AI leadership. The initiative aligns with the UAE’s ambition to become a global hub for AI in business and governance.
SO WHAT? – As AI transforms the UAE, the demand for strategic AI leadership is rising fast and so is the demand for executive education. There are already a number of high profile government and academic sector executive education programmes including the UAE’s national Artificial Intelligence Programme, and the Executive Programme of Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. However, each programme has its own curricula, roles and targeted participants. The new AI Academy has the opportunity to provide differentiated programmes to both UAE business and government leaders, and those across the region.
Some key points about this announcement:
Abu Dhabi School of Management and UAE-based AI and robotics firm Polynome Group have announced the AI Academy, a new initiative aimed at training senior executives, government leaders, and senior AI specialists.
The initiative was launched during the annual Machines Can See summit, attended by UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
Initial programmes will be short-format sessions for executives, technical professionals, and public sector leaders, delivered in multiple languages.
A flagship Chief AI Officer (CAIO) Programme, running 3–4 months, will feature eight advanced modules on AI strategy, deployment, and governance.
The curriculum includes seminars led by global experts and top researchers covering generative AI, AI ethics, computer vision, and sovereign AI.
The AI Academy will also serve as a hub for collaborative research, networking, and startup incubation.
NVIDIA is partnering with the Academy to integrate its technologies into the curriculum, supporting practical AI deployment in the region.
The programme aims to accelerate AI readiness across sectors including finance, healthcare, and public administration.
The partnership reflects the UAE’s goal to lead in responsible AI development and strengthen its knowledge economy, and the country’s strategy of leveraging public-private sector partnership to move faster than competitors.
Polynome Group positions this as part of its broader mission to bridge scientific discovery with real-world AI applications in business and society.
