#UAE #education – The UAE National Programme for Artificial Intelligence has launched the sixth cohort of its flagship Artificial Intelligence Programme, in partnership with UK-based University of Birmingham. Running from May to September 2025, the initiative targets UAE government, semi-government, and private sector professionals, aiming to build AI capabilities and support the country’s long-term digital transformation strategy. The programme focuses on advanced AI and generative AI skills, aligning with the country’s ambition to lead in global technology and innovation.
SO WHAT? – The UAE’s early investment in national AI education and training in line with country’s National AI Strategy has become a shining example of how to prepare for digital leadership. The Artificial Intelligence Progtramme is one of the governments key initiatives, helping create a high-skilled workforce to meet the demands of the new AI era. There are already hundreds of alumni from the programme working in key roles — including Chief AI Officers — across the UAE.

The programme will run from May to September 2025 and is open to participants from UAE’s government, semi-government, and private sectors.
Designed to equip professionals with cutting-edge knowledge in AI and generative AI, the programme addresses key challenges and trends in the field.
Five core modules include AI fundamentals, generative AI, data strategies, generative models, and applied AI technologies.
The initiative has previously graduated over 370 professionals from more than 100 organisations, many now holding leadership roles such as Chief AI Officer.
The programme supports the UAE’s strategy to strengthen its digital economy and prepare for future technological disruption.
Participants benefit from instruction by a distinguished international faculty, including experts from Oxford, Birmingham, Uppsala, and NYU Abu Dhabi.
The training emphasises practical applications of AI, from scenario analysis to solution development in security and infrastructure.
The programme also highlights large language models and their relevance to government transformation and AI adoption.
