Strategic Intelligence Hub to provide data-driven insights across 78 policy areas
#UAE #dataanalytics - The World Economic Forum has announced a key output from its collaboration with the United Arab Emirates, creating a Strategic Intelligence Hub to support the implementation of the We the UAE Vision 2031 national strategy. The AI-powered platform offers data-driven insights across 78 policy areas, enhancing decision-making in sectors such as economy, diplomacy, and sustainability. This initiative aligns with UAE’s goals to diversify its economy and foster innovation, solidifying its global leadership in technology-driven governance.
SO WHAT? - The UAE Government is among the most advanced in the world for its implementation and usage of digital technologies to support national planning, policy making and data-driven decisions. It’s no accident that the UAE is the first to get a WEF-enabled Strategic Intelligence Hub. By focusing on how to develop better, faster and more future-proofed governance by using artificial intelligence, the UAE is positioning itself as a global leader in strategic innovation. We can expect the UAE government’s future experience in using the new platform will both inform the next generation of AI-enabled government decision-support systems in the UAE, and provide valuable knowledge for future WEF knowledge-sharing programmes.
Some key details about the new intelligence hub:
The World Economic Forum has announced the development of a Strategic Intelligence Hub for the UAE Government, harnessing WEF data to support the We the UAE Vision 2031 strategy.
Her Excellency Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs and Stephan Mergenthaler, Head of Strategic Intelligence, World Economic Forum signed partnership agreement in January to develop an AI-powered intelligence platform with a knowledge base focused on priority sectors outlined in the We the UAE 2031 vision.
Custom-built for the UAE Prime Minister’s Office, the Strategic Intelligence platform will support policymakers, strategists, and government leaders to implement and develop policy for the comprehensive national strategy We the UAE Vision 2031, which aims to diversify the Emirati economy.
The platform provides dynamic AI-enabled briefings on 78 priority policy areas, based on a vast library of Forum reports, academic articles and expert insights, including from the Forum’s network of content partners.
The Strategic Intelligence Hub will provide a collaborative space where government officials and stakeholders can share insights and ideas to advance national development goals.
In addition, eight new UAE Strategic Intelligence Councils, developed in collaboration with WEF’s Global Future Councils, will deliver high-level policy recommendations directly to the UAE Prime Minister’s Office.
ZOOM OUT - More than 500 thought leaders from across business, government, academia and civil society are convening in the UAE this week from October 15-17, for the WEF Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils 2024. The Global Future Councils were formed by WEF in 2008 and first convened at the inaugural Summit on the Global Agenda in November 2008, hosted by the Government of Dubai. Over the years, the UAE has forged a close alliance with the World Economic Forum and become an important contributor to global policy discussions. As a result of this year’s collaborative AI project, the country will now become the first to access WEF resources and data via the new AI-powered Strategic Intelligence Hub.
