xAI to build 500MW Saudi AI data centre with HUMAIN
HUMAIN to integrate Grok agent into HUMAIN ONE AIOS platform
#SaudiArabia #datacentre — Saudi Arabia will host xAI’s first major compute deployment outside the United States under a new framework agreement with Public Investment Fund-owned HUMAIN. The deal includes investment in a flagship 500 MW+ hyperscale GPU data centre, the development of a national network of AI compute sites, and the country-wide deployment of xAI’s Grok models. HUMAIN also plans to integrate Grok into its agent platform HUMAIN ONE to accelerate advanced AI adoption across government and private sectors. The news was announced during this week’s U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum in Washington DC.
SO WHAT? - The news of the xAI-HUMAIN partnership follows a series of Saudi data centre deals with US technology leaders. This year HUMAIN put agreements in place to build data cetnres with AMD, NVIDIA and Qualcomm, making Saudi Arabia one of the world’s fastest-growing AI compute hubs. The Kingdom is planning to leverage its availability of land, cheap energy and access to capital to become a global exporter of AI compute services and a global player in hyperscale GPU capacity.
Here are some key points about this announcement:
xAI will build its first major compute deployment outside the United States in Saudi Arabia under a new framework agreement with Public Investment Fund-owned HUMAIN. The deal includes investment in a flagship 500 MW+ AI data centre, the development of a national network of AI compute sites, and the country-wide deployment of xAI’s Grok models.
The planned 500 MW+ site is expected to become one of the world’s most advanced AI compute hubs. The plans align with HUMAIN’s strategy to deliver globally competitive, high-performance AI compute infrastructure at the lowest possible cost.
Expanding beyond xAI’s existing US superclusters, the Saudi hub will enable new global-scale training and inference capacity for frontier AI models.
HUMAIN and xAI also agreed tojointly build a national compute fabric supporting AI training, deployment and scaling, strengthening HUMAIN’s long-term strategy to deliver a fully integrated AI value chain spanning compute, data, models, and applications.
As part of the deal, Grok will be deployed nationwide across Saudi Arabia, establishing a unified national AI layer that provides government and private entities with advanced decision-making tools, real-time intelligence and next-generation AI copilots.
The partnership includes integration of Grok into HUMAIN ONE, HUMAIN’s agentic AI platform, enabling autonomous workflows and applied AI capabilities for enterprises and the public sector.
HUMAIN’s infrastructure strategy is centred on scale, speed and cost-efficiency, positioning the company as a leading global player in delivering AI-ready digital foundations for frontier model development.
The xAI-HUMAIN collaboration was announced at the U.S.–Saudi Investment Forum in Washington, D.C.
