ChatGPT tops list of downloaded apps, women use AI tools more than men
#SaudiArabia #AIadoption - 45 percent of Saudi Arabia’s internet users now use AI tools, according to the Saudi Internet Report 2025 just released by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST). Adoption skews toward women, at 52.8 percent versus 39.4 percent of men, and drops sharply with age, from 58.4 percent among 10-19 year-olds to just 14.8 percent among those aged over sixty. ChatGPT ranks as the most downloaded AI app in Saudi Arabia, followed by Google Gemini and DeepSeek, with the Kingdom’s own HUMAIN AI app rounding out the top ten.
SO WHAT? - Nearly half of Saudi Internet users now reach for an AI tool, most often to search for information, confirming that adoption has moved well beyond early experimentation into everyday habit. The gap between young and older users, and the fact that women use AI tools more than men, perhaps gives policymakers a clearer picture of where AI literacy campaigns need to focus next.
