#UAE #AgenticAI - His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has chaired the council’s first meeting using an agentic AI platform. The AI Committee System supports analysis-based discussion and data-driven decision making. The system analyses agenda items ahead of meetings, prepares executive summaries, provides real-time fact-checking and analysis during discussion, and generates minutes and action summaries afterwards, with outputs traceable back to source documents.
SO WHAT? - The UAE is increasingly inserting AI directly into how the government makes decisions, at a federal, emirate and departmental level. An agentic system that fact-checks discussion in real time and links every recommendation back to its source paper changes the mechanics of governance, not just its output. The implementation of the agentic AI system by the Abu Dhabi Executive Council follows the deployment of similar systems at the UAE Cabinet and sovereign wealth funds ADQ and IHC.
KEY POINTS:
Abu Dhabi Executive Council used an agentic AI platform, the AI Committee System, for the first time in a meeting chaired by Crown Prince H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The platform analyses proposals and agenda topics ahead of meetings, preparing executive summaries for every item, then provides real-time insights, fact-checking and analysis-based recommendations during discussion.
After meetings, the system produces detailed analytical reports, minutes and action summaries, with all outputs and decisions traceable back to their original source papers.
Among other agenda items, His Highness also reviewed progress on integrating AI education into private school curricula across the emirate, spanning kindergarten to Grade 12, with early years focused on hands-on, screen-free learning.
ZOOM OUT - The AI Committee System aligns with the Abu Dhabi government’s broader AI strategy. In January 2025, the Abu Dhabi Executive Council signed off an AED 13 billion ($3.54b) Government Digital Strategy for 2025-2027, aiming to make Abu Dhabi the first government globally to fully integrate AI across all digital services by 2027. The plan targets 100% adoption of sovereign cloud computing, more than 200 new AI solutions across government services, and an AED 24 billion ($6.53b) contribution to the emirate's GDP.
