Welcome to the GITEX GLOBAL 2025 live blog, where we’ll be sharing the latest news and events for the week’s programme.
The 45th annual GITEX event, GITEX GLOBAL takes place from 13-17 October at Dubai World Trade Centre. Organised by the trade centre, it stands as the world’s largest tech and AI event and features over 6,800 exhibitors, including 2,000 startups from 180 countries, alongside 1,200 investors with a combined US$1.1 trillion in assets under management (AUM) and more than 40 unicorns.

18:00 — du launches AI Park, targets 1GW AI data centre capacity
UAE telecom leader du has unveiled a 500,000 sqm AI Park in Warsan and its National Hybrid AI platform under du Tech. The AI Park will deliver up to 1 GW capacity through liquid-cooled data centres, while National Hybrid AI enables secure sovereign AI deployment across cloud environments. Read more here.

15:30 — Cerebras to deploy AI infrastructure in UAE, South Asia
California-based Cerebras Systems plans to expand its AI chip infrastructure to the UAE, India and Pakistan to support regional growth, CEO Andrew Feldman told Reuters. Read more here.
