du, Dubai Taxi sign sovereign cloud partnership
du to power first national hypercloud migration in UAE's transport sector
#UAE #GITEXGLOBAL2025 - UAE telecom and digital services provider du has announced a landmark deal with Dubai Taxi Company to migrate its core systems to du’s National Hypercloud sovereign cloud platform optimising workload performance. Announced at GITEX Global 2025, the deal marks the first full-scale modernisation of its kind on a sovereign national hypercloud in the UAE transport sector, delivering high-speed compute, autonomous databases and artificial intelligence-ready infrastructure. Dubai Taxi Company operates more than 10,000 vehicles including over 6,200 taxis with approximately 45 per cent market share. The operator will migrate mission-critical core systems to du’s Oracle Alloy-based sovereign cloud platform.
SO WHAT? - Launched in June, du’s National Hypercloud is a sovereign-grade cloud service built in partnership with Oracle, bringing Oracle Alloy’s hyperscale cloud infrastructure to the UAE. Hosted entirely within du Tech’s advanced liquid-cooled data centres, the platform ensures full data residency, compliance, and operational independence for government and regulated sectors. The agreement with Dubai Taxi Company is the first major deal announced by du for its National Hypercloud service.
Here are some key details about the du-DTC deal:
UAE telecom and digital services provider du has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Taxi Company to migrate its core systems to du’s National Hypercloud sovereign cloud platform optimising workload performance.
The agreement marks the first full-scale modernisation of its kind on a sovereign national hypercloud in the UAE transport sector, delivering high-speed compute, autonomous databases and artificial intelligence-ready infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
The migration aligns with the UAE’s Cloud First mandate whilst ensuring complete data sovereignty, a critical differentiator from global hyperscalers,
This is also the first major deal announced for du’s National Hypercloud cloud platform since its launch in June. National Hypercloud offers a rich and comprehensive set of 150 Oracle Cloud Services covering IaaS, PaaS and SaaS along with a sovereign AI portfolio of services that are embedded across every layer. The platform allows public sector and regulated customers to innovate in the AI space providing AI sovereignty at the speed of a hyperscaler.
The migration to du’s platform positions Dubai Taxi Company for seamless integration with future digital mobility platforms and reducing legacy information technology costs.
du’s National Hypercloud, built on an Oracle Alloy deployment, helps meet sovereign requirements of government organisations in the UAE, whilst supporting alignment with local regulatory requirements.
Key benefits for Dubai Taxi Company include enhanced core systems performance and reliability for mission-critical operations, significantly reduced operational costs and technical complexity, and full compliance with UAE regulations.

ZOOM OUT - Earlier this week du announced plans for a 1 Gigawatt AI Park and National Hybrid AI, aligning with the UAE’s growing demand for sovereign AI infrastructure and data independence. As global demand for compute power and data sovereignty intensifies, the UAE is positioning itself among nations investing heavily in localised AI ecosystems. By integrating sovereign cloud, hyperscale data centres, and hybrid AI environments, the UAE is moving to secure its place as the Middle East’s primary hub for AI research, high-performance computing and enterprise-scale deployment. Public organisations are currently lead the way in embracing new hyperscale sovereign AI cloud services.
