Here are more details about the progress of the Dubai AI Seal:
The pioneering Dubai AI Seal certification programme has received applications from 325 companies operating in Dubai, including 77 international offices.
The Dubai AI Seal was launched in January 2025 by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), as the city's first comprehensive certification framework designed to build trust and transparency in AI deployment while strengthening public-private partnerships.
Among the first companies to receive the prestigious "Tier S" classification—the highest certification level—were telecommunications giant e& and technology leader IBM, demonstrating early adoption by established industry players with significant AI capabilities.
The certification programme spans multiple sectors with early recipients including Beinex Consulting, CSP Solutions, iO Health, CAMB.AI, Prop-AI, Rounak, and InnovaSense, showing broad-based appeal across healthcare, property, media and enterprise software.
Each certified company receives a unique serial number and classification tier ranging from A to S, with the S-grade representing organisations making the highest economic and technological contributions to Dubai's AI ecosystem.
The Dubai AI Seal will be a prerequisite for participation in upcoming government-led AI initiatives and projects, effectively making certified companies preferred partners for public sector collaboration while allowing them to display the certification across digital and promotional platforms.
Participation in the certification programme is free and open to all local, regional, and international companies licensed to operate in Dubai that offer AI-based products and services or incorporate AI into their offerings.
Dubai's Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum personally met with representatives of the first enterprises to receive the certification during Dubai AI Week 2025, highlighting the government's high-level commitment to developing trusted AI infrastructure.
A recent DCAI study identified over 800 AI-specialised firms operating in Dubai, with 66% using the city as their global hub, suggesting substantial room for growth in certification adoption as the programme matures.
ZOOM OUT - The Dubai AI Seal addresses the fundamental challenge in today's market of how to identify credible AI partners amidst a sea of new entrants and evolving propositions from established players. As organisations shift from AI strategy to implementation, tech teams face can face difficulties distinguishing between genuine expertise and slick marketing. The certification creates practical value by reducing this friction, enabling faster adoption cycles across the economy.
