#UAE #UK #G42 - Abu Dhabi-based AI powerhouse G42 Group has launched G42 Europe & UK, a London-headquartered subsidiary focused on delivering tailored AI solutions to the region's private sector, whilst partnering with governments to build critical AI infrastructure across the UK and continental Europe. The new entity will be co-chaired by World Wide Technology international board member Omar Mir and G42 Group General Counsel Marty Edelman, combining over 20 years of global technology experience with deep regulatory expertise. The European expansion follows G42's recent announcements of data centres and compute clusters in France and Italy, positioning the UAE company to serve European markets with sovereign AI capabilities and world-class supercomputing infrastructure.
SO WHAT? - The European expansion is a significant milestone in G42’s development, after 18 months of rapid expansion internationally. The London-based operations provide G42 with direct access to European regulatory frameworks and business relationships whilst offering European organisations an alternative to US and Chinese AI providers for sovereign computing requirements. The new European headquarters could provide a base from which to capitalise on recent deals to build AI infrastructure and high-performance computing systems in France and Italy, perhaps advancing access to other key markets.
