The second full week of January was an eventful week, to say the least! However, I can only see it getting busier throughout the next month. This week the US government announced new export regulations for AI chips and models, MBZUAI releases open-source data and code for a new benchmark to measure AI model inclusivity, and Malaysia and the UAE sign an tech investment accord. Also brand-creator platform Halo AI announced a $6 million seed funding round, and Spanish BPO multinational announced $100 million investment in Egypt!
