Presight launches accelerator for early stage AI startups
Presight AI Startup Accelerator aims to boost new ventures in MENA and Asia
#MENA #startups - G42 Group big data analytics company Presight has launched the Presight AI-Startup Accelerator at Expand North Star, the world’s largest startup event taking place in Dubai. The new accelerator will provide a package of expertise, technological resources, and networking opportunities specifically designed for artificial intelligence ventures, to early stage AI startups across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), South-East Asia, and Central Asia. This initiative aims to accelerate the growth of companies with market-ready prototypes by leveraging both Presight’s infrastructure and that of the wider G42 ecosystem.
SO WHAT? - The UAE has a number of startup programmes aimed at early stage AI startups, but the country’s growing global reputation as an AI hub attracts increasing numbers of startups from all over the world and inspires more home grown startups. Therefore, Presight’s accelerator launches into a market with a high demand for AI accelerators, incubators and AI startup funding. The company’s membership of the G42 Group gives it not only extended resources, but also cachet that the accelerator is associated with one of the world’s largest and fastest moving AI groups. The new programme should have no shortage of applications.
Some key points on the new AI accelerator:
Abu Dhabi-based big data analytics company Presight has launched the Presight AI-Startup Accelerator, a three month programme for early stage AI startups.
The new accelerator programme has been designed to support AI startups by offering mentoring, AI-specific technological resources, high-performance computing, cloud services, plus access to foundational language models (LLMs) and algorithms.
Presight AI-Startup Accelerator will target early stage AI startups with prototypes or MVPs from the MENA region, South-East Asia, and Central Asia.
With the backing of Presight and the G42 Group, the accelerator will help AI startups that are ready to test and introduce their products to refine their business models, achieve market fit, before they scale and enter new markets.
AI startups selected for the new accelerator will engage with a community of founders, Presight’s product pipeline, and global partners, benefiting from knowledge-sharing, promotional opportunities, and cross-selling.
Presight envisions that graduates of the Presight AI-Startup Accelerator will emerge as mature companies with tested business models and proven customer value, and ready to scale their operations.
IMO - A key reason for the lag in new AI startup programmes being created, is the availability of programme-owners that understand AI and can validate AI concepts and prototypes. As a fast-growing multibillion dollar AI-native company with revenues of AED 1.78 billion ($485m) in 2023, Presight is perhaps ideally placed to pick and validate AI startups. As a result, the new Presight AI-Startup Accelerator has an excellent chance of producing successful new AI startups that benefit investors, the AI ecosystem and the local economy at large.
