Presight & Khazna to deploy AI system across 30 data centres
New AI system to monitor energy, cooling and security in real-time
#UAE #GITEXGLOBAL2025 - G42 big data analytics and AI company Presight has signed a deal with G42 hyperscale infrastructure operator Khazna Data Centers to deploy an AI-powered facility management system across 30 data centres in the UAE. Operating from a secure AI hub in Abu Dhabi, the platform will use AI to monitor energy consumption, cooling systems, equipment performance and security. The system aims to predict issues before they occur, reduce downtime through early fault detection, and optimise operations continuously across some 70% of the UAE’s data centre capacity.
SO WHAT? - More than simply an agreement between sister companies, the Khazna-Presight deal makes it clear that the group really ‘eats its own dogfood'. The two G42 group companies are bringing applied intelligence to the front lines of digital infrastructure, embedding AI at the core of mission-critical systems to deliver efficiency, resilience, and sustainability at scale. Leveraging G42 group expertise, Khazna aims to set new standards for sustainable data centre operations and data centre management.
Here are some key details about the announcement:
G42 group companies Presight and Khazna Data Centers have signed a deal to deploy an AI-powered command and control platform to manage a network of 30 data centres in the UAE.
The AI system will provide unified 24/7 oversight across all facilities, monitoring multiple operational parameters including energy usage, cooling efficiency, equipment performance and security systems to ensure operational continuity.
The platform employs predictive capabilities to identify potential faults before they occur, enabling proactive maintenance that reduces unnecessary servicing and minimises downtime across the data centre network.
Smart cooling systems integrated into the AI platform will optimise energy usage, addressing growing scrutiny around data centre energy consumption as facilities expand to meet demand for high-density computing required by AI applications.
The command and control centre will form part of G42’s globally distributed network of AI infrastructure hubs spanning the UAE, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Europe, Africa and other regions.
Khazna operates as one of the fastest-growing hyperscale data centre platforms globally, focusing on delivering advanced infrastructure with energy efficiency to enable artificial intelligence and digital economy growth.
The project marks what the companies describe as a first-of-its-kind AI-optimised facility management system, representing a new generation of autonomous data centre operations that adapt and optimise in real-time.
Presight specialises in combining big data, analytics and AI expertise to serve multiple sectors, creating what it terms Applied Intelligence solutions for both private and public sector clients.
ZOOM OUT - Khazna Data Centers plans to add more than 1GW in operational capacity over the next five years. The company will deploy over 400 megawatts across international markets including Saudi Arabia and Italy, whilst developing hyperscale facilities domestically in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ajman. Khazna has secured $2.62 billion in financing to support this pipeline and is also delivering infrastructure for Stargate UAE, part of the planned 5GW UAE-US AI Campus in Abu Dhabi. The expansion could see Khazna managing more than 1.6GW in computing power by 2030.
