AI71 call for 'Future of AI' proposals
AI71 allocates $50k of compute for most compelling proposals
#UAE #competitions – AI71, an applied research team offering developer tools and enterprise solutions, has launched a global Call for Proposals to push the boundaries of AI. With a total of $50,000 in compute power to develop the most compelling proposals, the competition is open to researchers, academics, entrepreneurs, and developers aiming to build transformative AI applications. Winning proposals will get to build their own AI solution using the AI71 Platform, powered by Falcon AI models.
SO WHAT? – Abu Dhabi’s AI ecosystem is creating an increasing number of AI development and innovation competitions, broadening its engagement with the global developer community and introducing more people to its technologies. Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council’s ultimate ambition is to build enough global support for its Falcon LLM to become the 'Linux of AI’. Although the council created the Falcon Foundation to provide a similar supporting role that the Linux Foundation provides for Linus, AI71 and Technology Innovation Institute (TII) both run Falcon initiatives to engage the AI developer community.
More about this competition:
AI71 is offering up to $50,000 in compute power to selected proposals that showcase impactful AI applications using the Falcon LLM.
Developers worldwide can submit AI-driven use cases that utilise the AI71 Platform, based on Falcon AI models.
The AI71 Platform provides API-based access to Falcon LLMs, alongside documentation, SDKs, and other essential tools.
Submissions will be judged on feasibility, innovation, and commercial potential, with a focus on real-world impact.
Proposals must include a problem statement, methodology, technical feasibility, implementation plan, and budget estimate.
Important deadlines for AI71’s Call for Proposals:
3 March 2025 - Deadline for proposal submissions
17 March 2025 - Finalists announced by AI71
31 March 2025 - Winners announced
The challenge aligns with AI71’s mission to democratise AI access, making it easier for developers to build and deploy AI solutions.
ZOOM OUT – AI71 was formed in 2023 to build a hybrid business model, both offering access to open source AI foundation models and training models on proprietary data to build impactful solutions. The AI company aims to empower the community with best-in-class open-source models; support end-users to build and control their own custom applications; and launch world leading solutions in meaningful domains.
