A new Saudi artificial intelligence operating company called HUMAIN has been announced, under the ownership of Public Investment Fund (PIF). Announced by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the company is designed to operate across the entire AI value chain.
Headquartered in Riyadh, HUMAIN will deliver AI-native platforms across four core layers: Infrastructure, Cloud, Data & Models, and Applications.
Directly chaired by HRH the Crown Prince, the company has been formed as a comprehensive AI solutions provider spanning data centers, AI infrastructure, cloud capabilities, and advanced AI model development.
HUMAIN will also have a core focus on developing one of the world's most powerful multimodal Arabic large language models. Technology partners are thought to include Google Cloud, Groq, Microsoft and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).
