Welcome to Day Two of the Dubai AI Week live blog, where we’ll be sharing the latest news and events for the week’s programme.
Dubai AI Week takes place from April 21st to 25th, 2025 and takes place across a number of prestigious venues across Dubai (all Google Maps links):
Dubai Future Accelerators and Government Accelerators
The main Dubai AI Week exhibit area is in the Emirates Towers, specifically the Emirates Towers Boulevard, also known as AREA 2071.
The week-long programme is organised by Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence and overseen by Dubai Future Foundation, under the direction of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE.

21:50 — Dubai releases new AI Policy for Government Entities
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, reviewed the first edition of the Dubai State of AI Report, and witnessed the official announcement of Dubai’s AI Policy for Government Entities, during his visit to Dubai AI Week 2025 today.

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence, has announced an agreement for a AED 2 billion high-performance data cetnre project signed between UAE telco du and Microsoft.
16:15 — Arabic.AI launched at Dubai AI Week!
Nour Al Hassan CEO of Tarjama& and now CEO of Arabic,AI officially launched Arabic.AI at Dubai AI Week today. Arabic.AI is an AI Arabic language business solutions company, providing high-accuracy and secure enterprise communication, content and worlflow solutions. Read the full story.

The Global Prompt Engineering Championship is taking place throughout today and tomorrow at the AI Arena, Emirates Towers.
12:05 — Dubai shows first-of-its-kind AI for public finance oversight
Dubai Finance (DOF) has launched first-of-a-kind AI oversight for public finance, ASCEND, at Dubai AI Week. The AI platform for public finance compliance sets new benchmark in public sector oversight. Read the full story here.
11:15 — Ignyte SME Challenge finalists announced!
Ignyte, Dubai's DIFC-led startup platform and marketplace has just announced the top 3 finalists of the Digital Enablement of SMEs Challenge!
The finalists are:
Zoftware (UAE)
AdaptEdge (UAE)
Glyphs Technologies (India)

08:40 — Global Prompt Engineering Championship
The Global Prompt Engineering Championship starts today and will take place throughout the day (0900-1555hrs) at the AI Arena, Emirates Towers Boulevard. 24 finalists will compete for AED 1 million worth of prizes. Read more here
