STUCK? raises six-figure pre-Seed round for Arabic AI push
New UK-based fund makes first Saudi tech investment
#SaudiArabia #funding – Jeddah-based AI language services company STUCK? has closed a high six-figure pre-Seed investment round to accelerate development of its Arabic-focused AI content and localisation tools, according to a report by EntArabi. The round was led by UK-registered Mena Tech Fund, marking its first investment in the Kingdom. Additional support came from Saudi Arabia research university KAUST via the KAUST Innovation Fund, regional angel investors, and the Sanabil Accelerator of global venture capital firm 500 Global. The funding will be used to fine-tune AI models for Arabic language tasks, expand language offerings, and scale enterprise-ready, on-premise language intelligence systems.
SO WHAT? – Even with the acceleration in Arabic language AI development over the past two years, commercial Arabic AI offerings remain relatively few. However, the demand for Arabic AI products and services from organisations across the region is growing fast. The funding of STUCK? recognises the growing demand for culturally contextual AI tools in business, media and government, in particular in Saudi Arabia.
Here are some key facts about STUCK? and its funding round:
Saudi Arabia-based AI language services company STUCK? secured a high six-figure U.S. dollar pre-Seed fundinground, led by UK-based Mena Tech Fund, with participation from the KAUST Innovation Fund, the Sanabil Accelerator of global venture capital firm 500 Global, and regional angel investors, such as Maha Taibah and Basma Bushnak.
This was the first investment in Saudi Arabia from UK-based Mena Tech Fund.
Founded in Jeddah, STUCK? is an AI-powered language intelligence platform, blending automated tools with human insight to create culturally aware content in Arabic and other dialects.
The platform supports multiple delivery modes, from fully AI-generated to fully human, or hybrid workflows—enabling businesses to balance speed, accuracy and cultural nuance.
The company has secured major Saudi corporate and government contracts, including a partnership with an unnamed Giga Project, reinforcing its role in national transformation initiatives.
Funds will be used to fine-tune Arabic AI models and develop enterprise-grade, on-premise tools, targeting organisations with high data sensitivity and custom language needs.
Future plans include launching Chinese language capabilities, expanding STUCK?’s market reach across MENA and East Asia.
STUCK? is female-led and 93% female-staffed, rare in the regional AI space, with Oxford-educated founder Asmaa Naga at the helm as CEO.
ZOOM OUT – The past few years has seen a significant increase in the number of venture capital investments in Saudi-based AI firms. Much of this investment has been in pre-Seed and Seed stage AI ventures, as the Kingdom’s startup programs have provided more support for AI ventures and entrepreneurs have recognised opportunities surfaced by the acceleration of digital transformation. With an increasing focus on Generative AI, more organisations now seek Arabic language AI solutions that can help boost the productivity and efficiency of Arabic workers.
