Tajikistan partners with Presight for AI development
Presight signs strategic agreement with Tajikistan Ministry of Industry
#Tajikistan #digitaltransformation - G42’s big data analytics and AI company Presight has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Tajikistan Ministry of Industry and New Technologies to accelerate national AI development across smart cities, energy, and cybersecurity sectors. The agreement, signed during last week’s Tajikistan-UAE Business Forum in Dushanbe, establishes cooperation for AI-powered government and enterprise solutions including for infrastructure operations such as Dushanbe International Airport. The agreement also aims to support Tajikistan's Area AI global technopark initiative and broader digital transformation across the public sector.
SO WHAT? - The strategic agreement signed this month, follows an agreement signed between the Tajikstan government and Presight in June to integrate AI into public services, cybersecurity, and smart city development. In line with the country's National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence Development, the June agreement covered a smart city pilot project, the building of an AI compute cluster and national cloud data centre powered by green energy, plus a variety of potential future collaborations and partnerships. A joint working group is being created following the agreement to coordinate plans, projects and pilots.
Here are some key points about the deal:
G42 subsidiary Presight signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Tajikistan Ministry of Industry and New Technologies to establish strategic collaboration in artificial intelligence development and deployment.
The agreement was signed during the Tajikistan-UAE Business Forum in Dushanbe, attended by UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and UAE Ambassador to Kazakhstan Mohammed Saeed Al Ariqi.
Cooperation areas include piloting AI-powered government and enterprise solutions in smart cities, energy, and cybersecurity sectors, with potential deployments at critical infrastructure including Dushanbe International Airport.
The partnership supports Tajikistan's Area AI global technopark initiative, with plans for joint AI deployments across smart cities, industrial applications, and infrastructure development projects throughout the country.
A joint working group will coordinate pilot projects, support technology transfer processes, and explore AI-driven innovation opportunities across multiple sectors and government departments in Tajikistan.
The collaboration reflects growing economic and technological ties between Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates, extending Presight's regional expansion across Central Asian markets and digital transformation initiatives.
