Welcome to Day Three of the Dubai AI Week live blog, where we’ll be sharing the latest news and events for the week’s programme.
Dubai AI Week takes place from April 21st to 25th, 2025 and takes place across a number of prestigious venues across Dubai (all Google Maps links):
Dubai Future Accelerators and Government Accelerators
The main Dubai AI Week exhibit area is in the Emirates Towers, specifically the Emirates Towers Boulevard, also known as AREA 2071.
The week-long programme is organised by Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence and overseen by Dubai Future Foundation, under the direction of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE.

16:15 — Dubai RTA has announced its new AI Strategy
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched its AI Strategy 2030, announcing 81 projects and initiatives to accelerate AI adoption across its operations and reduce travel times by up to 30%. Read the full story.

11:20 — New study released on Dubai government GenAI usage
Announced during Dubai AI Week: 64% of Dubai government senior managers use GenAI tools at least weekly, finds a comprehensive survey of employee behaviours, carried out by Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) and the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR).

The much anticipated Machines Can See conference has an early start planned for today, with the official opening ceremony expected to begin at 08:40 AM. If you were not able to attend in person, then we have some good news!

The Global Prompt Engineering Championship will resume this morning for its second (and last) day at the AI Arena, Emirates Towers.
